I am a native English speaking teacher in Lyon.  I have a genuine interest in helping my students reach their desired learning outcomes, as quickly as possible.

Indeed, of all the questions you need to ask, the most obvious is:  Why would anyone in Lyon want to go anywhere else other than Expressway Anglais to learn English?  The answer is poignant but simple:  it’s their loss. 

My students often refer me to their friends who they know have been struggling to learn English for years.  After becoming one of my students themselves, these people enjoy far more rapid success with their learning and they tell me they wonder why they struggled in other English classes for so long.

Regardless of your age, personal interests, reasons for studying English and learning goals, I quickly create an atmosphere of friendly participation in your learning.

My teaching philosophy is simple - English is for life, not just for school.

Expressway Anglais is not focused on ‘business’, rather my teaching forms part of my life in Lyon.  I do not pursue turnover.  On the contrary, I focus entirely on student outcomes and my ‘business’ comes from recommendations!   I teach primarily in my own neighbourhood to motivated students who often become friends.  It follows that English then forms part of their life, rather than being a burden or a task.
